Two old newspapers in Greenland revived

In 2024, I was hired to create a very simple and price-conscious digital design for Mediahouse Sermitsiaq in Nuuk, Greenland. The platform features content from the two weekly newspapers AG and Sermitsiaq.
We decided to create a unique logotype, drawn by A2-Type’s Henrik Kubel. It echoes the old woodtype from AG’s original logo dating back to the 1890s. With the vibrant blue color and good typography, the site can be flexible and engaging – even the CMS is straightforward.
We kept the name Sermitsiaq, which is the name of a beautiful and massive mountain outside Nuuk.
